Greenwild : The World Behind The Door, by Pari Thomson - Louis

This is a very, very good book. I loved it.

It’s about a girl called Daisy Thistledown, whose mother (a botanist) goes to the Amazon Rainforest and goes missing. Daisy escapes from her boarding school and goes to London on the train. She goes all over London on a secret trail (including a visit to Kew Gardens) to hide from the evil Craven, who is trying to catch her. She then finds a magical door leading to Greenwild.

Daisy finds a group called the 5 O’Clock Club and they work together to try to find out what happened to her mum. They have lots of adventures and they go to find missing botanists (there are loads).

My favourite apart of the book was when The 5 O’Clock Club went to Chiverly Chase. This part was a real adventure where they had to sneak past guards and work as a team.

The book is really magical and through all of the adventures there are secrets that Daisy finds out about too!

It has:

  • Friendship

  • Adventure

  • Magic

What more could you want in a book!?

It is a very, very adventurous book – I would give it 5 out of 5 stars.

It really is the adventure of a lifetime (so believe what is says on the cover!)
